Chris and Habiba Honored at Art Show
Habiba, won awards and received recognition for their showcased artwork. They, along with hundreds of other individuals, participated in the 28th Annual Georgia Artists with Disabilities Exhibition presented by the Pilot Clubs of Metropolitan Atlanta. Chris, pictured below, won Honorable Mention for his acrylic painting of a US Air Force jet plane soaring in the skies. In a reflection on his work and the exhibition Chris stated, “I was just in a military mood. I enjoy painting things as they come to mind. Of the crafts, painting and beading are my favorite. And at the show, I liked viewing the other artwork and seeing what other artists were doing.” The members and staff of Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse applaud our award winning artists for their work and accomplishments. We’re proud of them and congratulate them on their awards. We invite folks in the greater community to contact the Clubhouse if they’re interested in learning more about our artists and the work they produce.
