Parag Shah’s Shave or Save Fundraiser
Thanks to the contributions of over 150 people, we raised $27,000 together for the Side by Side Scholarship Fund AND got Parag Shah, CEO of Miles Mediation and Arbitration to shave his hair LIVE on J. Stein Law Firm’s Sports ‘N Torts podcast!
In a manner consistent with legal proceedings, the donations came in from two opposing teams: the Snip Squad (those who wanted to shave Parag’s hair) and the Lock Lovers (those who wanted to save Parag’s hair). In the end, both teams raised over $10,000, so we had no choice but to take the case to Judge Stacy Hydrick from the Superior Court of Dekalb County for a ruling on who wins. To our delight, Judge Hydrick issued an official Order in favor of the Snip Squad, and Parag’s head was shaved LIVE on the podcast! After five years of growing out his hair, Chris the Barber sat Parag down and gave him a nice clean shave. It was an epic and emotional event from start to finish.
