A Day Out (& Pour and Tour)

A Day Out for Our Heroes is Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse’s signature fundraising event for 2021! On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary in Lilburn is reserved exclusively for Side by Side supporters.

If you’re looking for a fun and interesting way to spend a morning, or the afternoon, look no further! The Yellow River Game Ranch is under new management and has undergone extensive renovations to provide the animals here with the best possible environment, care and quality of life. Come visit the NEW YELLOW RIVER WILDLIFE SANCTUARY in central Gwinnett alongside the Yellow River, just minutes from Stone Mountain Park.

Officially a wildlife sanctuary, YRWS is still home to the original Bison herd, peacocks and pigs. Come meet all of the new additions including albino wallabies, Babydoll sheep, Fallow deer, ring-tailed lemurs, alpacas and much more.

Ticket sales support Side by Side’s Scholarship Fund which ensures that your Georgia neighbors with brain injuries have access to our support services, regardless of their ability to pay.

Our adults-only “Pour and Tour” Cocktail Event where you can enjoy an adult beverage and the animals at the same time. It also comes with a feed cup for animals in the barnyard. Grab a drink, tour the Santuary between 4 – 6 pm and finish the event back near the entrance hearing a little bit about Side by Side’s mission.

The Side by Side Scholarship Fund allows members in financial need to pay a sliding scale rate to access our brain injury support services. The Fund has allowed us to provide equitable and quality service to all members, regardless of their ability to pay. All Side by Side members rely on charitable sources to rebuild after a brain injury forever changed their lives.
